Q:

Huawei 12700E-4, as a wireless controller, now requires wireless Mac address authentication for Internet access

Now it is configured on the switch to authenticate the black and white list of wireless Mac addresses. The wireless device cannot access the Internet without binding the Mac address, and the mobile phone can access the Internet with binding the address. Can this be achieved? Thank you.

A:

Different brands of switches have different configurations. Taking Huawei switches as an example, the STA white list can be configured through the following steps:

Execute the command "system view" to enter the system view.

Execute the command "wlan" to enter the WLAN view.

Execute the command "sta whitelist mac address" to add the MAC address of mobile phones and other devices allowed to access to the STA whitelist.

Execute the command "sta access mode whitelist", and configure the access control mode of the AP to STA whitelist mode.

Xinhuasan Switch can achieve similar functions by creating a black and white list based on SSID. Ruijie switches also support relevant configurations. For example, configure the SSID based white list command as "Ruijie (config)#wids", and then "Ruijie (config wids)#ssid - filter whitelist mac - address<mac address>in - ssid<ssid name>"
